We have recently received a photograph of our superb enamalled bronze animal brooch which has been conserved by the Institute of Archaeology, UCL. We hope to have it returrned this autumn together with other metal finds from our 2014-17 excavations.
Whilst nothing quite the same from the current trench we have been finding a number of fibula brooches over the last few seasons seemingly of 1st-2nd century type and our usual abundance of pottery with more decorated samian and lots of other fine-wares in this central area.
